Makkah: An eye association in Makkah has launched a specialized medical campaign to perform free cataract surgeries for pilgrims. This initiative aims to significantly enhance pilgrims' vision and overall quality of life during their spiritual journey.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the campaign is a collaborative effort with several hospitals and specialized medical centers across Makkah Region, overseen by a distinguished team of Saudi consultants and ophthalmologists. It targets cases of severe visual impairment caused by cataracts, offering comprehensive care completely free of charge, from initial examination and diagnosis to surgery and post-operative follow-up.

The association emphasized that this campaign underscores its strong humanitarian commitment to pilgrims, continuing its voluntary efforts to combat blindness and visual impairment.
