Makkah Entry Permit Requirement Takes Effect for Residents

Makkah: Public Security confirmed that Hajj arrangements and procedures requiring residents wishing to enter Makkah to obtain permits from the relevant authorities took effect Monday, April 13. Residents without entry permits to Makkah will be barred.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the measures apply to residents who do not hold a permit issued by the relevant authority to work in the Holy Sites, a resident ID issued in Makkah, or a Hajj permit. It added that entry permits for residents working during the Hajj season are issued electronically through the Absher Individuals platform and the Muqeem Portal, in technical integration with the unified digital platform for issuing Hajj permits, the Tasreeh platform.
