Makkah Deputy Governor Chairs Hajj, Umrah Permanent Committee Meeting

Riyadh: Upon the directives of Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz chaired the committee's meeting, which reviewed reports on the current Umrah season and preparations for this year's Hajj season 1448 AH.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the committee evaluated the status of the Umrah season, focusing on the number of Umrah performers arriving and departing, as well as the services provided to them at various entry points. The assessment aimed at ensuring smooth operations and facilitating the needs of the visitors.

The committee also examined the outcomes of earlier discussion sessions held in preparation for the Hajj season 1448 AH. Sixty entities involved in pilgrim services participated in these sessions. The discussions resulted in recommendations aimed at enhancing readiness, strengthening coordination among entities, and proactively addressing challenges to provide optimal services for both Umrah performers and pilgrims.
