Maj. Gen. Al-Omari Highlights ‘Spears of Victory 26’ as Key to Military Readiness and International Collaboration

Al khobar: Maj. Gen. Al-Omari, the Commander of the 'Spears of Victory 26' exercise, emphasized the readiness of the Saudi Armed Forces to address modern threats and foster international partnerships. He stated that the exercise reflects the advanced methodology of the Saudi military and its significant role on the global stage. The participation of allied nations underscores the confidence in Saudi Arabia's military capabilities, especially those of the Air Force, in organizing major exercises.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Maj. Gen. Al-Omari explained that these maneuvers are essential for building international military relations. The Kingdom is committed to exchanging operational expertise and enhancing cooperation with other nations. The support from the leadership, particularly for the Air Warfare Center, has increased international participation, aligning troop numbers with operational needs to meet training goals.

Maj. Gen. Al-Omari described the exercise as featuring scenarios that simulate modern warfare and emerging threats. New technologies, such as drones, fast boats, and autonomous ground vehicles, were utilized for the first time. This allowed aircrews and technical teams to refine tactics and test advanced weapons systems, as well as electronic warfare and cyber capabilities across land, sea, and air environments.

He noted that the exercise included cultural and tourism elements, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Heritage Commission. These efforts included familiarization tours for delegations to archaeological and historical sites, showcasing Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage and enhancing its positive image.

The exercise is taking place at the Air Warfare Center in the Eastern Sector, known for being one of the region's most advanced training centers. It provides a realistic operational environment for developing combat strategies, evaluating systems and weapons, and assessing their effectiveness.
