MAEE Urges Umrah Performers to Conserve Water

Makkah: The National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE) has initiated a campaign in collaboration with government and non-profit partners to promote water conservation among Umrah performers. This initiative is directed towards educating those visiting the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah about the significance of water conservation for sustainability.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the campaign employs various educational tools, including materials displayed on screens, in hotels, restrooms, and shared on social media platforms, to effectively communicate the importance of reducing water usage among Umrah visitors.

The MAEE has reiterated its dedication to positioning Saudi Arabia as a global leader in water and environmental sustainability. This is being pursued by enhancing water efficiency and fostering conservation practices, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
