‘Madraj Camel Auction’ Draws Thousands to Qassim

Riyadh: The "Madraj Camel Auction," hosted at the Madraj Center in the Qassim Region, has attracted over 60,000 visitors since it began last Wednesday. Organized by the Qassim Municipality and represented by Al-Shari Municipality, the event is held under the supervision of Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Qassim Municipality Official Spokesperson Naif bin Abdul Rabbah Al-Nafie stated that the 10-day auction has drawn camel owners and enthusiasts from various regions of the Kingdom, including Riyadh, Madinah, Tabuk, Eastern Region, and Taif. The significant turnout highlights the growing interest in camel auctions within the region.

Al-Nafie further explained that camel auctions in Qassim have transformed into marketing and investment opportunities that extend beyond mere buying and selling. These events contribute to the development of services and businesses associated with the sector, boosting its economic impact while preserving the cultural significance of camels as a key element of local heritage.
