Madinah Municipality Upgrades Roads and Public Spaces Ahead of Hajj Season

Madinah: The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced that Madinah Regional Municipality has completed a series of humanization and urban development projects across key roads leading to the central area, enhancing the city's readiness for the Hajj season and improving services for pilgrims and residents.

According to Saudi Press Agency, works covered Al-Salam Road, Khalid bin Al-Waleed Road, and Quba Road, involving the development of sidewalks, pedestrian paths, public squares, and traffic safety elements. Key figures include over 135,000 square meters of sidewalks and pedestrian plazas, more than 47,000 square meters of green spaces, and 9.7 kilometers of improved roads in high-density areas.

The municipality also upgraded lighting through high-efficiency LED systems and smart control technology, alongside afforestation and improved directional signage.
