Madinah Municipality Mobilizes Over 6,000 Personnel for Post-Hajj Pilgrim Services

Madinah: The Madinah Regional Municipality has successfully completed its preparations to accommodate pilgrims in the post-Hajj season of 1446 AH, as part of the second phase of its operational plan. A team of over 6,432 personnel, supported by 825 machines and vehicles, is working tirelessly to deliver essential municipal field and awareness services to pilgrims returning from Hajj.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the municipality is incorporating volunteer teams alongside its operational staff as part of community initiatives. This strategy is aimed at serving pilgrims and showcasing the spirit of volunteerism prevalent among the people of Madinah. Additionally, the municipality is using digital platforms to disseminate awareness messages that guide visitors and facilitate their movement throughout the city efficiently.

The operational plan prioritizes enhanced cleaning operations in public squares, roads, and key locations, especially in the central zone and at sites of religious and historical importance. It also includes the maintenance of roads and lighting, and the monitoring of markets, fuel stations, and commercial and food establishments to ensure compliance with health standards. These measures are aimed at improving the quality of services provided to the pilgrims.
