This year's Madinah Dates Season exhibition commenced yesterday, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in collaboration with the National Center for Palms and Dates and the Madinah Chamber of Commerce. The 14-day exhibition, held next to the Quba Mosque, includes on the sidelines various events, dialogues, and workshops. It aims to showcase local agricultural production and date palm processing industries. The exhibition displays yields from over 29,000 farms in Madinah region, highlighting their role in bolstering food security strategies in the Kingdom. Featuring a special section where farmers can experience virtual reality harvesting to promote environmental and agricultural awareness, the exhibition also boasts more than 50 sales outlets, a tasting and cooking section, and handicrafts. Families working in cottage industries are taking part in the event. Public and private entities exhibit agricultural initiatives, financing opportunities, and logistical services for potentia l regional investors. Source: Saudi Press Agency
