Madinah: The Madinah Bus Project, overseen by Al-Madinah Region Development Authority, has facilitated transportation services between the Prophet’s Mosque and Quba Mosque for more than 375,000 individuals during the first third of Ramadan. The service has conducted over 7,768 trips, marking a 67% increase compared to the previous year.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the bus service began operations on the first night of Ramadan. It has been instrumental in transporting worshippers and visitors through seven routes that link various districts to the Prophet’s Mosque, along with a dedicated route serving the Quba Mosque.
The service is operational 18 hours a day across all routes, with two stations functioning continuously to manage the rising number of visitors during the holy month of Ramadan.
