Madinah: The Madinah Bus project, affiliated with Al Madinah Region Development Authority, has signed a partnership agreement with a national transportation company to support bus station infrastructure and enhance the integration of transport services across Madinah.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement includes support for station equipment and a 20% discount on first- and last-mile services to and from the bus rapid transit stations via the bus application. The move seeks to ease access to the network, strengthen connectivity between different transport modes, and enhance the mobility experience for residents, visitors, and worshippers.
The move is part of ongoing efforts to develop Madinah's transport ecosystem by integrating public transport and bus rapid transit services within a unified operational network. The approach is intended to provide a smooth and safe travel experience, particularly during peak seasons that witness high visitor volumes.
The agreement reflects the authority's direction toward expanding partnerships with the private sector and advancing its strategy to enhance the efficiency of urban transport services and improve quality of life in Madinah.
