Madinah: The unique linguistic and cultural diversity of students of the Islamic University of Madinah supports enhancing the experience of visitors of the Prophet's Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, as volunteers from the university's students provide guidance, awareness, and instant translation services to visitors and worshipers from around the world.
According to Saudi Press Agency, more than 100 volunteers from the students of the Islamic University of Madinah, representing multiple nationalities and speaking various languages, participate in providing direct linguistic support to visitors. This enables effective communication and facilitates understanding of the religious and organizational instructions within the Prophet's Mosque and its surrounding courtyards, particularly during peak times at iftar and qiyam prayers, supporting the efforts of relevant authorities, ensuring the smooth delivery of services to beneficiaries, and guiding them in different languages.
The field efforts provided by the volunteers include translation into more than 30 languages, reflecting the linguistic richness of the university, which includes students from more than 170 countries around the world. This is part of a volunteer program that includes assisting the elderly and persons with disabilities, organizing the movement of worshipers and crowds, and providing field guidance in several languages, enriching visitors' experience, and enabling them to perform their acts of worship with ease and spirituality.
