Riyadh: An official source at the Ministry of Energy stated that at 7:04 a.m. on Monday, the Ras Tanura oil refinery sustained limited damage as a result of debris from the interception of two drones in its vicinity. The incident resulted in a limited fire, which was immediately contained by emergency response teams. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
According to Saudi Press Agency, some operational units at the refinery were shut down as a precautionary measure, without any impact on the supply of petroleum products to local markets.
