Libraries Commission Discusses AI Applications in Libraries

Riyadh: The Libraries Commission hosted a remote dialogue session yesterday to discuss the uses of artificial intelligence in libraries. The session explored the latest technologies and smart applications that can improve library services, including smart search engines, personalized recommendations, and assistive robots.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussion highlighted leading global examples, such as Helsinki Central Library Oodi in Finland and the British Library, along with local AI applications. Participants also addressed future challenges and opportunities, focusing on the commission's role in promoting innovation and sustainability within the library sector.

This session is part of the Libraries Commission's efforts to align with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build an advanced library sector and make knowledge accessible to everyone through innovative digital solutions.
