Basbous welcomes Iraqi, Egyptian Ambassadors

Internal Security Forces’ Chief, General Ibrahim Basbous, welcomed on Tuesday Iraqi Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali al-Amri, with whom he discussed the means to bolster bilateral cooperation and coordination.

The pair also dwelt on most recent developments and the current general situation in the nation.

Basbous later met with Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad Badreddine Zayed, accompanied by General Consul Mohammad Hanafi, within the frame of a farewell visit upon the end of his diplomatic mission in Beirut.

The meeting was an occasion to discuss the current juncture.

Basbous also met today with Minister of Education and Higher Learning, Elias Bou Saab, over the means to enhance cooperation between the Ministry and the ISF.

Separately, Basbous received Head of Jamaa Islamiya politburo, Assaad Harmouche, accompanied by a delegation of Sfeire town.
