AP general session kicks off

A general session of the Arab Parliament (AP) kicked off in Cairo on Tuesday 12/2/2019 to probe draft resolutions made by AP committees over the past days.

Chaired by AP President Meshaal al Salami, the session is held at the Arab League general secretariat HQ.

The AP committees have convened to discuss a report on the political landscape in the Arab world in 2018.

They have also tackled Arab water security and the latest developments in the Syrian Golan Heights.

The situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories also figured high in the meetings.

The committees have also reviewed a report on a unified Arab bill on higher education and scientific research.

Another unified Arab bill on the protection of antiquities has also been tackled.

The AP committees have also discussed joint economic action.
