Beirut: The Presidency of the Lebanese Republic announced today the formation of a new government headed by Nawaf Salam, comprising 24 ministers. According to Saudi Press Agency, the presidency confirmed that President Joseph Aoun signed a decree accepting the resignation of the caretaker government led by Najib Mikati. Nawaf Salam was tasked with forming the government on January 13 after securing the confidence of the Lebanese Parliament.
