Lebanese President Condemns Attack on Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline

Beirut: President of the Lebanese Republic Joseph Aoun condemned the targeting of the East-West pipeline in Saudi Arabia. He deemed the attack a blatant assault on the Kingdom's assets and national security, as well as a desperate attempt to undermine regional stability and threaten the interests of its peoples. According to Saudi Press Agency, the president affirmed Lebanon's solidarity with Saudi Arabia and reiterated its unwavering support for the Kingdom in safeguarding its sovereignty, security, and assets. He stressed that the deep-rooted and firm brotherly ties between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia necessitate standing united against all attempts to destabilize regional security. He called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in confronting such attacks, which threaten global energy security and undermine the stability of the region as a whole.
