Las Vegas: Las Vegas will host the "Fight of the Century" on September 12, featuring a historic showdown between two modern boxing legends: Mexico's Saºl "Canelo" lvarez and the United States' Terence Crawford. It will be the first boxing match held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas since its opening in 2020.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the fight was announced after Canelo claimed the International Boxing Federation (IBF) title, regaining his status as the undisputed super middleweight champion following a unanimous decision victory over his Cuban opponent William Scull on Sunday.

The bout is supported by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA), who is also Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Boxing Federation, Advisor Turki Alalshikh, who played a key role in making the fight possible.

Crawford, 37, will move up two weight classes to face Canelo, following his most recent victory last August over Madrimov, which earned him the super welterweight world title. Widely regarded as one of the most talented fighters of his generation, Crawford affirmed his readiness, stating: "In September, I will show the world what greatness means."
