London: The general parliamentary elections were place yesterday, Thursday, and the results were announced today, Friday. Keir Starmer's British Labor Party emerged victorious. With 412 seats, or 211 more than in the 2019 general elections, the Labor Party secured a commanding majority in the 650-seat Parliament, while the Conservative Party secured 121 seats, or 250 fewer than in the previous elections. With 71 MPs, the Liberal Democrats secured the third position. Following fourteen years of Conservative dominance, Starmer will lead the new Labor government. Source: Jordan News Agency
