Kuwait participates in ITEX 34th exhibition in Malaysia

The 34th edition of the International Exhibition for Invention, Innovation and Technology (ITEX) kicked off on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for two days.

This year’s edition witnesses a Kuwaiti participation, engineer Jenan Al-Shehab, as part of the General Secretariat of the GCC delegation.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the Malaysian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Shang Lih Kang, in the presence of Kuwait Ambassador to Malaysia Rashed Al-Saleh, alongside the ambassadors of the GCC countries in Malaysia.

In a statement for KUNA, Ambassador Al-Saleh expressed his joy for Al-Shehab’s participation and displaying her invention (Electromagnetic Cells), saying that this participation is considered a motive for other Kuwaiti engineers to prove their competence and their creative abilities.

On her part, Jenan Al-Shehab said that she was nominated by a specialized team of arbitrators at the Patent Office of the GCC general secretariat to represent Kuwait in the ITEX 2023 exhibition.

She noted that this is her eighth participation in international exhibitions where she had won several gold medals in competitions in such expos, in addition to an officer badge from the European Union and the International Commission for Officers and Supervisors (Science and Innovation) for her electromagnetic cells invention.

She pointed out that the electromagnetic cells invention is a system that transfers energy wirelessly, which can be used in charging and operating electronic devices without wires or cables to reduce electrical contacts and adds an aesthetic look to halls.

The International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) is an annual exhibition initiated by the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS) in 1989 that features the best innovations, promote inventions, technologies, commercial exchange and expertise in the field of science and knowledge.
