Kuwait FM meets UNGA’s Pres.

Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met Wednesday with the President of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) Csaba Korosi at the ministry’s office, during his official visit and the accompanying delegation to Kuwait.

During the meeting, they reviewed the close ties that bind Kuwait with the UN and its specialized agencies, discussing topics and issues on UNGA’s agenda, upcoming events, and coordination in this regard.

The meeting also dealt with frameworks for enhancing joint international cooperation and advancing effective mechanisms to perpetuate the UN’s objectives in establishing international peace and security, support efforts for sustainable development and climate change, as well as the latest regional and international developments.

From his side, Korosi commended the close joint work that links Kuwait with the UN, noting Kuwait’s prominent and distinguished role in the international community, citing Kuwait’s pioneering humanitarian role and what it has always done towards supporting regional and international efforts aimed at enhancing security and establishing the values of peace around the world
