Kuwait Denounces Houthi Attacks on Saudi Civilian and Economic Targets

Kuwait city: The State of Kuwait today strongly denounced the Houthi militia's attacks targeting civilian sites and economic facilities in several Saudi cities, which injured scores of civilians, including women and children. Kuwait described the attacks as a flagrant violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty, a direct threat to the security and safety of its citizens and residents, a breach of international law and international humanitarian law, and a dangerous and unjustified escalation that could undermine regional security and stability.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condemnation of the Houthi militia's continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea, which poses a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation, global energy supplies, and international trade.

Kuwait affirmed its absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and interests, and to protect its people and residents. It stressed that the Kingdom's security is an integral part of Kuwait's security and that of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
