Kuwait Condemns Continued Iran-Affiliated Militia Attacks on Saudi Oil Facilities

Riyadh: Kuwait strongly condemned the continued attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by Iran-affiliated militias in Iraq, describing them as a flagrant violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and a threat to its security and territorial integrity.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the UAV attacks targeting Saudi oil facilities reflect the militias' persistence in escalating tensions and destabilizing regional security and stability, at a time when the Kingdom is exerting sincere efforts to contribute to ending regional escalation.

The ministry reaffirmed Kuwait's absolute solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for all measures Saudi Arabia takes to protect its security and sovereignty, including its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, stressing that the Kingdom's security is an integral part of Kuwait's and the Gulf Cooperation Council states' security.
