General

During the third week of August 2023, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Project, known as Masam, successfully cleared a total of 867 mines planted by the Houthi militia across Yemen. This includes 113 anti-tanks, 738 unexploded ordnance, 14 explosive devices, and two anti-personnel mines.

Since the project’s inception, 411,568 mines have been dismantled by KSrelief. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, aims to eliminate the threat posed by these indiscriminately planted mines in Yemen. These mines have unfortunately resulted in the tragic deaths and injuries of innocent children, women, and elderly individuals.
