Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and UNICEF signed here on Monday a memorandum ensuring financial support to children in Somalia, Bangladesh, and Burkina Faso, ultimately benefiting 1,579,929 individuals. As per the memorandum, some of the winners of the 'Players Without Borders' competition -- organized by the Saudi Esports Federation in 2023 -- will donate their prizes, amounting to $10 million, to international charitable organizations. An amount of $5.5 million will be allocated to UNICEF. The memorandum was signed by KSrelief Assistant General Supervisor for Operations and Programs Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz and UNICEF representative in the Gulf region Al-Tayeb Adam. This initiative is part of a series of humanitarian and relief projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief in support of needy groups all over the world.
