Omdurman: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Wednesday signed an executive program with a civil-society organization to rehabilitate the Al-Manara Water Treatment Plant and provide electricity to the Saudi Maternity and Children's Hospital and Al-Buluk Children's Hospital in Omdurman, Republic of Sudan.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the program aims to provide potable water to residents in the targeted areas, helping to reduce waterborne diseases. It also ensures a reliable electricity supply for the two hospitals, enhancing their ability to serve patients.
The initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts, through KSrelief, to support the water and sanitation sector and alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Sudanese people amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
