Port Sudan:A team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) conducted a field visit to the water desalination plant rehabilitation project in the southern part of Port Sudan, Sudan.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the water desalination plant consists of two units, each capable of producing 1,500 cubic meters, resulting in a combined daily production capacity of 3,000 cubic meters.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, rehabilitated the plant to supply clean, desalinated drinking water to about 50 neighborhoods and residential blocks in Port Sudan. This effort is crucial as the area lacks suitable groundwater for drinking.
This project forms part of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian and relief efforts aimed at supporting the water and sanitation sector, alleviating the suffering of people in need, and assisting those affected across various Sudanese states.
