The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) team met yesterday in Port Sudan with the Head of the United Nations’ World Food Programme (WFP) in Port Sudan, Hafiz Ibrahim, and WFP Head of Emergencies in Sudan, Abraham Abatneh.
The KSrelief team reviewed the centre’s work for the Sudanese people and the amount of Saudi aid provided through the Saudi relief airlift operated by KSrelief, to alleviate the impact of the current crisis on the Sudanese people.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to provide urgent humanitarian aid to the affected and internally displaced people in Sudan through the joint efforts of KSrelief and WFP and to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination to deliver the necessary assistance to those who are in need in various conflict areas in Sudan.
