KSrelief Team Conducts 27 Cochlear Implant Surgeries for Children in Senegal

Dakar: The volunteer medical team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully performed 27 cochlear implant surgeries for children in the Republic of Senegal.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in addition to the surgeries, speech and language rehabilitation services were provided to all 27 children. The initiative also included four educational sessions for the families of these children, benefiting a total of 54 individuals.

This effort is part of the "Hearing Saudi" volunteer program, which focuses on cochlear implants and auditory rehabilitation for children in Senegal. The program saw the participation of 20 volunteers from various medical specialties.
