Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has held a veterinary guidance course for livestock farmers in Yemen's Socotra Archipelago, benefiting 20 people. The course was organized as part of a project supporting livestock farmers and household biogas production in Yemen under the Bathraa initiative.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Deputy Governor of Socotra Archipelago Brig. Gen. Saleh Ali praised Saudi Arabia's humanitarian support through KSrelief across various sectors. He said such projects contribute to developing the agricultural and livestock sectors and strengthening farmers' capacities, thereby improving the livelihoods of beneficiary families.
Saleh Ali also highlighted the importance of the training in raising awareness of proper veterinary practices and supporting the development and sustainability of livestock. He urged participants to make the most of the knowledge and skills gained during the course and share their experience with other farmers in their communities to broaden its impact and advance the project's objectives.
The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts through KSrelief to strengthen livestock farmers' veterinary knowledge, improve animal health, and help curb livestock diseases.
