KSrelief Launches Solar-Powered Water Project in Yemen’s Taiz

Taiz: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) inaugurated on Wednesday the Wadi Al-Maasal well operation project and its associated pumping station in Taiz Governorate, as part of a project to sustainably enhance access to safe and clean water for residents of the governorate.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the project includes the installation of an integrated solar power system to operate the well and pumping station and pump water into storage reservoirs. This system ensures uninterrupted water service, reduces reliance on petroleum derivatives, and promotes the use of clean energy. The project is expected to benefit 50,000 families in the region.

The initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian efforts, executed through KSrelief, to support sustainable water projects in Yemen. It aims to improve basic services, strengthen water security, enhance living conditions, and achieve long-term humanitarian and development impact.
