KSrelief Launches Saudi Noor Volunteering Program to Address Blindness in Damascus

Damascus: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched the Saudi Noor Volunteering Project aimed at combating blindness and related diseases in Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program took place from January 31 to February 6, 2026, and involved the participation of four volunteers from various medical specialties. These volunteers played a crucial role in the program's implementation, providing essential medical services to those in need.

Throughout the campaign, KSrelief's volunteer medical team provided examinations to 3,830 beneficiaries, distributed 984 prescription glasses, and successfully completed 455 cataract surgeries. These efforts highlight KSrelief's commitment to addressing eye health issues and improving the quality of life for individuals in the region.

This initiative is part of the broader humanitarian and relief projects carried out by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief. The center acts as the kingdom's humanitarian arm, focusing on supporting the medical sector and assisting patients suffering from eye diseases in brotherly and friendly countries.
