Tashkent: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully implemented a voluntary medical program focused on open-heart surgery and catheterization in Uzbekistan. The initiative took place from February 15 to 21, featuring the expertise of 24 volunteers from a range of medical specializations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during this campaign, the KSrelief medical team conducted examinations for 100 patients. The team performed 24 open-heart surgeries and carried out 39 cardiac catheterization procedures, alongside completing 80 additional surgical interventions.
This program forms a part of the broader humanitarian and relief projects spearheaded by the Kingdom through KSrelief. The objective is to bolster the healthcare sector and provide essential support to patients suffering from heart diseases in both brotherly and friendly countries.
