KSrelief Launches Food Basket Distribution Project in Uzbekistan for 2026

Tashkent: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched the fifth phase of its Food Basket Distribution Project in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2026. The event took place at the headquarters of the 'Vaqf' Public Charitable Foundation, which is affiliated with the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the launch was attended by several notable figures, including Saudi Ambassador to Uzbekistan Saad Abu Haimed, First Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan Sheikh Khomidjon Ishmatbekov, and Director of the 'Vaqf' Public Charitable Foundation Jihankir Salamov. A team from KSrelief was also present to mark the commencement of this significant initiative.

The project is set to distribute 6,060 food baskets, each containing essential food items. This effort is expected to benefit 36,000 individuals across 14 provinces in Uzbekistan, addressing food security in the region.

This initiative is part of the broader relief and humanitarian projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief. It aims to support food security for those in need and to assist countries around the globe facing food scarcity.
