Mukalla: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched a volunteer medical project for cardiac surgery and cardiac catheterization in Yemen's Mukalla. The initiative, which spanned from October 25 to November 1, aimed to address critical medical needs in the region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the project assembled a team of 15 volunteers from various medical fields. Over the duration of the campaign, the medical team conducted eight open-heart surgeries, 29 therapeutic catheterizations, and six diagnostic catheterizations. This effort underscores KSrelief's commitment to providing specialized medical care to vulnerable populations.
The project in Hadhramout Governorate is part of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian mission, carried out through KSrelief, to deliver essential medical services to communities and countries in dire need. This initiative highlights the ongoing efforts to support and strengthen healthcare systems in regions facing significant challenges.
