Latakia: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered three advanced firefighting vehicles to Syria's Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management. This contribution aims to bolster efforts to combat forest fires in the Latakia Governorate, as part of an emergency response initiative designed to equip the region with necessary supplies, equipment, and vehicles for battling such blazes.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Abdulkafi Kayyal, the Director of the Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate in Latakia, expressed gratitude towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and KSrelief for their support. He emphasized that the newly acquired vehicles will enhance the governorate's ability to combat forest fires. The vehicles are expected to improve civil defense capabilities, preserve the area's vegetation, and facilitate a quicker emergency response, thereby strengthening the logistical support for field firefighting teams.
