KSrelief Delivers New Anti-Malaria Medical Shipment to Yemeni Health Ministry

Aden: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday delivered a new shipment of medicines to the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population in Aden Governorate to combat malaria in the country, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, as part of the second phase of the malaria control and prevention project in Yemen.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the shipment included 171,450 doses of artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs), 125,000 tablets of the drug primaquine, and 15,000 artesunate injections designated for severe cases. Additionally, 1.8 million long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets and more than 29 tons of pesticides used to combat disease vectors were included in the delivery. These supplies will be distributed across 15 governorates and more than 200 targeted districts, benefiting millions of people.

This assistance is an extension of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to support local efforts to control malaria, reduce the health and economic burden, and advance health recovery in Yemen.
