KSrelief Completes Cardiac Surgery and Catheterization Project in Yemen

Mukalla: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully concluded its volunteer medical project aimed at providing cardiac surgery and catheterization services in the Mukalla District of Hadhramout Governorate, Yemen.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative took place from October 25 to November 1 and involved a dedicated team of 15 volunteers from various medical specialties. These professionals came together with the mission of delivering advanced cardiac care to patients in the region.

During the course of the project, KSrelief's volunteer medical team performed a total of 33 open-heart surgeries, 80 interventional cardiac catheterizations, and 18 diagnostic catheterizations. This effort is part of Saudi Arabia's broader commitment to offering specialized medical support to vulnerable communities in Yemen, facilitated through KSrelief's humanitarian initiatives.
