KSrelief Clears 1,504 Mines in One Week in Yemen Through MASAM Project

Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), through its MASAM project, successfully cleared 1,504 mines in various regions of Yemen during the fourth week of May 2025.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the explosives removed included 40 anti-tank mines, four anti-personnel mines, 1,459 unexploded ordnance, and one improvised explosive device (IED). This significant effort brings the total number of mines cleared in May to 5,711.

Since the launch of the MASAM project, a total of 495,855 mines have been removed. These mines were randomly planted across Yemeni territory, posing a constant threat to civilians, especially children, women, and older people, spreading fear among innocent communities.
