New york city: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) have signed a joint executive program aimed at rehabilitating and equipping diagnostic centers in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. This collaborative effort was formalized during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York City.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief, and Jorge Moreira da Silva, UN Undersecretary-General and UNOPS Executive Director. The project, with a budget exceeding $5 million, is set to benefit 220,036 individuals in the region.
The initiative will involve supplying essential medical equipment, including an MRI machine, a CT scanner, X-ray devices, and vital-signs monitoring equipment. These resources are intended for the emergency and intensive-care units of several hospitals in Kharkiv, enhancing the healthcare infrastructure and improving patient care services.
