Jeddah: King Abdulaziz University yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Savvy Games Group, one of the Public Investment Fund's companies, to launch specialized training programs, including two diploma tracks in "Electronic Game Development" and "Esports Management." The initiative aims to qualify national talent and equip Saudi youth with the skills needed to keep pace with the rapid development of this vital sector, thereby enhancing their contributions to the digital economy and boosting the Kingdom's presence in the gaming industry.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU seeks to supply the local market with competitive talent at the regional and global levels, marking a strategic step toward building a long-term partnership between the two sides with a unified vision to empower the next generation of professionals in gaming and esports.
The university is preparing to launch the diploma programs in the upcoming academic year.
