Khir Al-Madinah Waqf Distributes Over 1.6 Million Iftar Meals and Food Items in Madinah

Madinah: The Khir Al-Madinah Waqf concluded its 1447 AH activities after distributing more than 1.6 million iftar meals and food items, along with over 2.2 million bottles of water, as part of its programs to serve beneficiaries and pilgrims in Madinah. The endowment's services also included distributing approximately 66 tons of dates, 24 tons of fruit, more than 1.7 million baked goods, and around 400,000 cups of Saudi coffee and tea.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the distributions were carried out at several locations across Madinah, including the Prophet's Mosque, Quba Mosque, Al-Qiblatain Mosque, Sayed Al-Shuhada Mosque, Miqat Dhu Al-Hulayfah, as well as a number of mosques, hospitals, Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport, and the Haramain High Speed Railway station.

The programs were implemented by 137 staff members in partnership with the Takaful charitable society for orphan care. The initiative also provided opportunities for 689 volunteers, who contributed 5,236 hours.

These efforts reflect the endowment's commitment to promoting sustainable charitable work and serving the community and pilgrims, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives to strengthen the non-profit sector and foster a culture of volunteerism.
