KFSHRC Highlights Healthcare Innovation, Medical Tourism Growth at Arab Health 2025

Riyadh: King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre: King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dr. Bj¶rn Zo«ga participated in the Arab Health 2025 exhibition, being held in Dubai from January 27 to 30, where he discussed the role of innovation in advancing specialized healthcare and its impact on promoting medical tourism in the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, speaking at a panel titled 'Investing in Saudi Arabia's Healthcare Future: Achieving Vision 2030,' Zo«ga emphasized that KFSHRC's adoption of advanced technologies, such as AI-powered diagnostics, robotic-assisted surgeries, and virtual healthcare services, supports the Health Sector Transformation Program. These advancements enhance healthcare quality, improve accessibility, and attract patients from around the world, reinforcing Saudi Arabia's status as a leading global medical destination. In 2024, the hospital received patients from 17 countries, highlighting its growing international reputation.

He also outlined KFSHRC's efforts to achieve healthcare sustainability through AI-driven workflow optimization, energy-efficient facilities, and local production of advanced therapies, such as CAR-T cell treatments, contributing to self-sufficiency in the healthcare sector.

Zo«ga concluded by highlighting KFSHRC's global partnerships with institutions like Mayo Clinic and Harvard, which facilitate knowledge exchange and the adoption of best practices in Saudi healthcare.

The KFSHRC has been ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 20th globally in the list of the world's top 250 academic medical centers for the second consecutive year. It has also been recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East, according to the 2024 Brand Finance rankings. Additionally, the KFSHRC was included in the World's Best Smart Hospitals list for 2025 by Newsweek magazine.
