Kara: The King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority (KARA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Net Zero Environmental Services, a national company specializing in climate technologies and smart afforestation, to initiate the first smart reserve project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the project is designed to enhance environmental sustainability, promote ecotourism, support scientific research within the reserve, and transform it into an innovative environmental model. These efforts align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative.
The partnership represents a strategic move towards achieving KARA's goals in documenting and managing the reserve's natural assets. It also signifies a significant milestone in reducing carbon emissions to reach net zero by 2060, improving air quality, and involving the private sector in supporting national environmental initiatives.
