Thuwal: King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) and the Women and Energy Association celebrated the graduation of Saudi female students from the Energy Transition Specialization (WE Spark) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). The program, organized in partnership with KAUST Academy, aims to prepare Saudi women for careers in renewable energy.
According to Saudi Press Agency, participants conducted research in advanced laboratories under the supervision of specialized faculty members from leading universities from inside and outside the Kingdom, including the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, University College London, and KAUST.
In her speech at the ceremony, KACARE Director of Human Capacity Building Kim Al-Sahhaf stressed the city's pivotal role in building national capacities and empowering women in the energy sector. She highlighted KACARE's commitment to advanced educational and training programs designed to develop high-quality skills to meet the sector's evolving needs, reiterating KACARE's support for women's empowerment initiatives under the Saudi Vision 2030.
