Riyadh: Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaani inaugurated the Second International Conference on Justice in Riyadh today. The conference is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and brings together leading experts and specialists from more than 40 countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in his opening remarks, the minister emphasized that the judicial sector has kept pace with rapid global changes thanks to the unwavering support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince, building a judicial system that upholds justice and protects rights. He noted that this second edition, themed 'Judicial Quality,' builds on the rich discussions of the inaugural conference about the future of justice in the digital age.
Addressing the main theme, he stated that judicial quality has become a key measure of judicial efficiency and a vital factor in creating an attractive economic and investment environment that supports sustainable development. Al-Samaani added that judicial quality extends beyond case outcomes to include substantive, procedural, and operational dimensions of the judicial process.
The Second International Conference on Justice aims to showcase the Kingdom's judicial advancements, particularly in judicial quality, and their impact on faster justice delivery and rights protection. It also reviews international best practices in this field.
The conference gathers representatives and experts to explore ways to enhance judicial quality through eight panels featuring more than 50 speakers, reflecting growing global interest in the topic. It attracts over 4,000 local and international participants.
