General

Jeddah: Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system, will be highly visible in the skies of the Kingdom and the Arab region during the second half of October.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Jeddah Astronomy Society Director Majed Abu Zahra stated that Jupiter is one of the brightest celestial bodies visible, surpassed only by the Moon and Venus. It will appear as a yellowish-white orb with constant brightness and can be easily seen with the naked eye in areas with clear skies.

He explained that the giant planet begins to appear after midnight and gradually rises toward the southeastern horizon. It reaches its highest point in the sky just before dawn, which he identified as the best time for viewing or capturing astronomical photographs.
