Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Maj. Gen. Yousef Al-Hunaiti, met with Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi, at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on joint cooperation between the Jordanian Armed Forces and the IMCTC, emphasizing strategic initiatives aimed at supporting member states and enhancing efforts to combat terrorism and extremism. Al-Moghedi highlighted Jordan's significant role as a key partner in the coalition, commending its leadership in confronting terrorism and bolstering both regional and international efforts to eradicate it.

Al-Moghedi also noted the coalition's implementation of strategic initiatives across 13 member states, with the latest being a media campaign initiative launched in Amman. He outlined the coalition's strategy, which is structured around four key pillars: intellectual engagement, media outreach, combating the financing of terrorism, and military action. This strategy underscores the belief that Islam is completely unassociated with terrorism, emphasizing its core messages of peace, moderation, and balance.

Maj. Gen. Al-Hunaiti praised the coalition's efforts in the fight against terrorism and its pioneering role in supporting its member states.
