The Jordanian Armed Forces announced today, Monday, that they had shot down a drone coming from Syrian territory.
The Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted an official military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, as saying, “The Border Guard forces, in coordination with the Drug Control Department and the military security services, monitored an attempt by a drone to illegally cross the border from the Syrian territory to Jordanian territory, and it was overthrown inside Jordanian territory.
The source explained that after intensifying searches and inspections of the area, the plane was found and handed over to the competent authorities.
This is the third incident of its kind during August, as the armed forces were able to shoot down two drones at different times, which were carrying narcotics and explosive materials./ End
